Victorian French Opaline Hand Painted FOXGLOVE COSMOS IRIS Floral Art Glass Vase

This delightful hand painted art glass vase is blown of white opaline coloured glass. The rim is cut and the low footed base is grounded smooth.

The vase has a unique shape. The hand painted polychrome design is absolutely beautiful.

The floral artistry depicts a four part section of yellow foxgloves, pink cosmos, blue bell flowers, and purple irises. Each flower has green foliage. The design of the mould blown footed base appears in three tiers. Each section is separated with a hand painted accented bands of a rich brick red or a terra cotta red colour, and is complimented with a double wide band of diamond geometric design pattern done in gold.

Origin could be possibly French (Baccarat) or Bohemian (Harrach or another Bohemian glasshouse). The rim is 3-1/8" diameter, and the low footed base is 2-1/4" diameter. Listing is for vase, only.
