A very tall Daum cameo glass vase of slender trumpet form Date : 1910 Origin : Nancy, Lorraine, France Bowl Features : Branches of fruiting quinces and leaves Marks : Cameo signed Daum. Nancy with cross of Lorraine Type : Cameo with unusual matt leaves at the top rim Size : 49cm (19 1/4in) Condition : Tiny bubble burst to leaf beside signature (see image). Small white inclusion within the glas near the base Restoration : None Weight : 2,595 grams. Some authors refer to the fruits in this decoration (it was also used on table lamps) as Japanese persimmons, we believe this to be erroneous. I have been involved in the antiques business since 1971. My career took a leap forward when I joined Bonhams in 1976. Some five years later I became head of the Decorative Arts department.
