Note: There is a slight rounding "mound" to the middle of the saucer by design. These two pieces were found together in an estate, but there is a slight wobble when placing on the saucer.
I do not know if the two pieces were intended to be used together or if they are just from the same collection. The vase will sit on the saucer, but it will slightly wobble. Gilding and stars are very thin or missing. Saucer has no chips or breaks. It was discovered in a homestead being demolished and survived so still has a story to tell.The blue opaline art glass is decorated with gold stars and has a painted backstamp. The saucer is 5.75. The base is 6" tall and 3" wide. The brand PV Portieux Vallerysthal is known for its exquisite French origin.
