Some sort of berry, I suppose and the applied glass beads (half-round cabochons) create the 3-D berries on the surface. Stunning old pair, no damage to note. The vase pair you see here are 12.5" tall and 6.5" in diameter at lip and widest point, and 4.5 diameter at the base. They're layered Sevres or Celeste blue on white, so the ruffle rim is elegant enough to display these without bouquets in them, too.

The hand painted thick Impasto enamel florals and applied glass beads crate decorative florals on each, and mirrors the other so they're gorgeous side by side on mantle or table. Perfect for a large buffet, as well.

There is some remnant of gold accent on the white ruffle rim but much of it has been lost to time and cleaning. Very good to excellent condition for age and type, there is not a chip nor crack anywhere on these and I don't think there's even a missing berry bead.

Probably by Legras, but there is no signature. They're the largest vase pair we've ever found, and surprisingly undamaged by their years and use.

One tiny spot where white interior layer had a bubble initially, I guess. Now it just shows up as that tiny darker spot on the back side lower angle of one vase, but it's only the white layer and is a natural flaw in the making of the pair, not a hole or chip from anything later on. These arrived caked in dirt, and I've been so thrilled to see how stunning they are now that they've been thoroughly cleaned inside and out. Ready for you to enjoy. Image Hosting by Ruby Lane.
