Rare French 1938 Rene Lalique Frosted Crystal Glass Bacchus Fauns Among Ivy Vase
RARE FRENCH 1938 RENE LALIQUE FROSTED CRYSTAL GLASS BACCHUS FAUNS AMONG IVY VASE. Up for your consideration is this extremely rare authentic Art Deco style signed R Lalique crystal glass vase. This particular piece is visually stunning and a true crystal glass masterpiece. This vase was made in the old lost wax method and it is very difficult to find Rene Lalique's original pieces today. The vase features a beautiful frosted crystal finish with an exquisite pressed Fauns prancing in English Ivy pattern that circles the majority of the middle of the vase. The vase is in very good vintage condition, with the frosted crystal exterior being in near perfect condition except for a tiny insignificant chip on base rim. There is also some cracking on the vase on the inside in a few areas, and a few which are on the frosted exterior most likely due to stress within the glass from thermal changes as it ages but it does not take away from the piece because it is mostly on the inside and those on exterior are much smaller and more hidden by glass frost.
Vase dimensions: 7-1/4" tall, 5-1/4" wide at mouth, 5-1/2 across midway, and 4-1/4 wide at base. The vase weighs 5.8 lbs.
