We offer two asymmetrical coronet rimmed conical and fluted vases each joined by a ball shaped knob to a round base. Each vase has one applied glass snake encircling the vase above the knob.
The Rubina Verde glass is an intense ruby at the upper portion shading to a green at the base caused by a controlled reheating of the hand blown glass. The two vases are ornamented in gilt enameling with opposing floral bouquets making the vases a true left and right pair. Unmarked, the two vases are attributed to the Legras glass factory in France and date from 1890 to 1910 production. The vases stand 13 7/8" in height with a diameter of 4 3/8" at the base. There is minor rubbing to the gilt trim along the upper rim and surface scratches on the underside of the bases appropriate with age and usage.
As seen in the photographs, one vase has a minor fleabite to the edge of the base. Overall the vases are free of cracks, breaks, or repairs.
