This is a Lalique Pavie Vase designed by Marie-Claude Lalique in 1989. Marie's design features two ears of corn and the corn plant's foliage. Pavie is the name of a village in Southwest France where corn is the major crop.
Corn is not big in the French diet but is used to feed the Geese being raised to produce Foie Gras. Lalique's legendary quality is immediately apparent. It has that classic Lalique look of satinized or frosted glass contrasting with sparkling and ultra transparent clear crystal.
