LEGRAS French AMBERINA Art Glass 10.25 Vase, Applied Textured Amber Base

Welcome to Antiques & Moore! This listing is for an unusual antique French Amberina Art Glass slender vase with ribbed body by Legras, c. The vase has rich coloration in the glass, shading from the rich ruby color on the upper body to amber/topaz on the lower body with a vertical ribbed pattern. The top rim of the vase is crimped in a scalloped shape. The vase sits on six lily pad textured amber/topaz glass feet which is characteristic of Legras art glass.

This nice vase is in excellent condition with no noted flaws. Measures 10 1/4" high with a top diameter of 3 1/2" and base diameter of 3 5/8. Amberina was developed in the late 1880's by the New England Glass Company. Variations of this glass was made by other glass houses during this era including some in France and Bohemia. Due to the design of this vase, coloration and applied dotted feet, we believe it definitely has all the characteristics of French art glass by Legras.
