Large Lalique Ondines Crystal Nudes Vase Gorgeous Perfection # 123800. A beautiful Art Nouveau Frosted and Clear Art Glass with nude female figures.
This large, thick, and heavy vase features sensuous ladies and a fluid pattern. Designed by Marc Lalique in 1952. Hand crafted in Lalique's workshops in the Alsace region of France. Measures approximately 9.5 inches tall, 7.5 inches across.
This vase is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, bruises, fleabites, or scratches. This absolutely beautiful vase is one of my favorites. Guaranteed authentic and signed Lalique ® France. When René Lalique died in 1945, his son Marc took over the business.
One of the first things Marc did was to change the formula from demi crystal with 12% lead oxide to full lead crystal with 24% lead oxide. This produced much heavier pieces, even from the same molds. It also yielded a much brighter and more transparent crystal that really sparkles. It has that classic Lalique look of satinized or frosted glass contrasting with sparkling and ultra transparent clear crystal. A must have for Lalique Collectors!
