LALIQUE French crystal vase Tresses LIMITED EDITION numbered 85/99 art glass rare certified with box. Inspired by Rene Lalique's love of nature, Tresses is offered in three different colors.

The design on one wide is a green cabochon reminiscent of a closed flower while the other side is an intricate clear cut glass design (the paperwork says "braided and woven palm leaves") with an open center through which you can see the green cabochon or closed flower on the other side... What results is an intricate vision of the flower in full bloom, creating the illusion of instant blossoming. Both aspects of the flower, designed in a signature combination of clear and frosted crystal, are created using Lalique's complex and challenging "applique technique", making the Tresses Vase a Lalique masterpiece.

The vase has a thick flatted rounded oblong shape. With the opening quite thick. It is a fantastic showpiece! It is quite stout and heavy. 4 little white felt glides on the bottom.

There are only 99 Tresses Vases worldwide in green. This vase is numbered 85/99 and so marked on the bottom along with the words Lalique and France. Authentic comes with certificate of authenticity along with original box and foam. 4 1/4" (outside) & 2 7/8" on inside of opening about 4 at bottom. Lovingly taken care of all these years.

Very minor if any surface scratches consistent with gentle dusting all these years. Offered up for sale by the original and only owner who has kept it away from traffic and little hands.
