French Art Nouveau Auguste Jean Enamel Mica Glass Vase Iridized Serpent Feet

A wonderful French Art Nouveau Glass vase with iridized serpent or dolphin feet and iridescent applied teardrops. The blue glass has an unusual mica silver metallic flake. The hand painted enamel design is very typical of the decoration for Auguste Jean.

The blue color is elusive - in some light it looks like a dark sapphire blue - in other light is has a lighter greenish blue cast. Though not signed the design and iridescence are very typical of Auguste Jean pieces. Circa late 1800's / early 1900's. Note: All of the teardrops and feet are iridized. Due to lighting some of them appear clear in pics.

Size: top 4 1/4 diameter; appx. 7 1/4 at highest point.
