This is a Daum French Crystal Tulip Vase in the lilac or violet color made with the Pate de Verre process. Daum describes it as Moyen Modele Tulipe in French. This is the medium size model 9 inches tall. Hand made by skilled artisans in Daum's Nancy, France workshops. The high quality of this sculpture is immediately apparent even to someone not familiar with Daum or luxury crystal.

Sculptures are created using the lost wax method. Crushed glass beads of various colors are placed into a mold and then kiln Fired For 10 Days.

The glass beads fuse together into a solid mass with color variations, small bubbles, and interesting textures. Every piece is unique, no two Daum pieces are exactly alike. The artisans at Daum are able to capture both fine details and subtle contouring.
