MULLER FRERES ART DECO LARGE SILVER BLUE VASE. This is a quintessential, hand made, French, large Art Deco, mold blown glass vase made by Muller Freres prior to 1933. It is decorated in relief with deeply embossed "spearheads" rising from the base, wide grooved rings at the rim, and interspersed with spectacular garlands of stylized, cascading flowers. The unusual silvery blue color of the glass is quite eye-catching. The walls of the glass are substantial, but not overly thick.
This piece is in excellent, antique condition with no chips or cracks. It was given a light cleaning although some dirt remnants remain inside. Please see all photos for details on condition and craftsmanship. Measurements: 13"H x6"W The opening at the top is 4 inches diameter and the base is 4 inches diameter. Established in Lunéville, France, Muller Frères consisted of a group of brothers who had learned their trade from the great French glassmaker Émile Gallé.
From 1905 to the 1930s, the brothers produced luxurious glass objects and developed rapidly into a company celebrated for their creative innovation and superior quality. Today, they are considered among the finest glassmakers of their generation. All items at Pangibles Vintage are pre-loved, vintage items.
