Large Le Verre Francais French Glass Squat Vase Description and Item Information Up for sale is this large, old French cameo glass vase. Please excuse the glare in the photos. This squat piece has berry and leaf patterns in glossy purple, with a frosted clear and white background with orange spots. This piece measures approximately 11 3/4 inches in diameter and it is about 5 inches tall. Unpacked, this heavy piece weighs 8 pounds 1.5 ounces.

As made, there is a polished pontil area beneath. This would be a fine addition to a collection of art deco glass or European art glass. Identification This Schneider / Le Verre Francais glass vase has engraved markings to the lower side, Le Verre Francais.

" Beneath, it has an acid etched, "FRANCE marking. The exact age of this art deco glass vase is not known, but it is likely circa 1920s to 1930s. Condition The vase has no cracks or chips. It has some wear from use. There are scattered, fine scratches and small scuff marks to the exterior.

It has some fogginess / residue to the interior from use, which I have not attempted to clean. The base has a rind of heavy scratches near its edges, as expected for a heavy, old glass piece such as this. Payments must be received within three days of the end of the listing, unless prior arrangements have been made. And international government regulations prohibit such behavior.
