ANTIQUE VINTAGE AUTHENTIC SIGNED ANDRE HUNEBELLE FRANCE glass VASE. ANDRE HUNEBELLE - Born September 1, 1896 Paris, France. Died November 27, 1985 Nice, France. French maitre verrier turned film director and producer.

After WWI, began designing pressed glass objects inspired by Rene Lalique. All added gold to their translucent glass works (a process first seen in the 15th century). In 1927 Hunebelle exhibited his first collection of glass. Well known for his opalescent glass. Hunebelle abandoned glass design in 1938 and after WWII became a successful film producer and director.

I owned and operated an antique and vintage Decorative Arts (statuary, vases, paintings) storefront in New York City called JOIA for 36 years. I retired and moved to Florida in 1996 taking my remaining inventory. Enjoy this piece of French art glass which has been in my possession since 1969 - that's 50 years!
