Antique Legras French Art Nouveau Gilt Floral Enameled 16 Cornet Vase c. 1888
Beautiful late 19th century French art glass vase attributed to Francois-Théodore Legras, c. The large cornet or trumpet shape vase features a smoke colored glass blank with a battuto or martele facet cut section toward the bottom, transitioning to a honeycomb pattern from the middle up to the rim with hand-painted gilt enameled clematis flowers and vines with gilt decorated rim and base. The base has a polished pontil with an inscribed number "5". Measures just under 16" x 4 1/8" diameter at rim x (5 diameter at base). In Excellent antique condition free of chips or fleabites, minor gilt wear to the rim and base as shown, little to no gilt wear to the flowers, please see all photos.
