Antique French Opaline Miniature Glass Portrait Bud Vase

ANTIQUE FRENCH OPALINE MINIATURE GLASS PORTRAIT BUD VASE. Available for your consideration is this miniature glass bud vase with hand decoration and medallion portrait. The vase measures about 7 5/8" tall, 1 3/4" wide near the portrait, and with a 2 1/4 diameter base.

The background color is a robins egg blue although all the pictures suggest a royal blue. The base glass is white opaline, and with the Fluer de Lis design on the back of the vase, I suspect that this vase was produced in the late 19th c. In France although most antique portrait vases are attributed to Moser or other Bohemian factories.

The vase is in fine pre-owned condition, no damage with very minimal signs of paint loss to the top rim and glass bead separating the base from the main body of the vase. The vase is straight, it does not'lean' as the 1st picture suggests.
