Absolutely magnificent vase, carrying the characteristics of the Japonisme, the fascination of Europe for Japan at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century, reflecting in the art of that time.

"Yokohama" vase, in'rice paste', beautiful a la japonaise paintings, exquisitely executed in Tokyo Red colour and representing birds, water lilies, dragonfly and stylised flowers. Vase referenced in the Catalogue Repertoire Raisonne " Legras verrier " as Cylindre Yokohama p 253.
