Welcome to Antiques & Moore! This listing is for a lovely R. Lalique EPIS vase, model #1077 designed by Rene Lalique in 1931.

This nice vase has a delicate paneled design with a wheat design in the center of each panel near the bottom and the stylized strands of wheat extending upward to the rim of the vase and is further decorated with blue patina/staining. The Epis name is derived from the French word for wheat. The patina is a true sky blue and is throughout the design on the upper part of the vase and on the lower wheat design.

The vase is marked with the R. Measures 6 1/2" high with a 6 1/4" diameter top and 2 7/8 diameter base. The vase is excellent Estate condition with no chips, cracks or repairs.

There is some minor faint fading/loss to the staining on the lower portion of the vase but overall the color is very good. We found no chips on the vase, however, there are a couple of very tiny no-harm specks on the edges of the cut vertical wheat strands that can't be seen with the naked eye but can be felt upon close inspection.

There are also some minor surface scratches on the base from normal wear. We at Antiques & Moore have been in the Antiques business for over 30 years and try to describe our items as accurately as possible.
