Antique French Louis XVI Amethyst Glass Bronze Ormolu Vase Baccarat Czech Moser. Today we are delighted to offer for sale a truly beautiful antique French amethyst glass and ormolu vase! The elegant and refined vase is the epitome of fine French design and artistry. The piece is of utmost quality and craftsmanship. It features a baluster-shaped paneled amethyst glass vase of beautiful cut and coloring.

The glass is unmarked but most likely French Baccarat or Czech Moser, both companies known for their luxurious (frequently unsigned) amethyst glass wares. The vase is mounted in an ornate Second Empire Baroque/Rococo-style bronze ormolu mount featuring rococo cartouche feet supporting a neoclassical base; the upper part is decorated with fanciful c-scroll arabesque floral handles, with a neoclassical band encircling the top of the vase and adorned with lovely maiden caryatid on the front and back. The piece is obviously the work of a fine luxury boutique such as Paris-based. Produced small furniture and luxury bronze-mounted objects, often using Parisian artists specializing in a specific technical field. Vase presents beautifully and is in very good antique condition, with very minor display wear and patina commensurate with age.

There is minor tarnishing and minimal oxidation of gilded finish on bronze mounts. The back side of vase has one minuscule (and hard to notice) fleabite chip on near lower half (please see photo). Add old-world elegance and style to any interior with this gorgeous amethyst vase which will make a truly fine addition to any antique decorative glass collection...
